Available all year around, Cipriani Yas Island’s à la carte menu is built on the concept of simple Italian food made to perfection and was inspired by the story of Giuseppe Cipriani Sr. Appealing to many different tastes, the Venetian and classic Italian dishes use seasonal, premium ingredients and produce, all of which are flown in directly from Italian farms, adding real authenticity to the menu.
The cuisine encompasses signature items from the original Harry’s Bar, including risotto primavera, baked tagliolini and vanilla crème meringue. Cipriani is also well known for inventing famous dishes like the Carpaccio alla Cipriani, which was invented by Giuseppe Cipriani Sr. in 1950, and the Bellini cocktail, created in 1948.
The ultimate location for social gatherings, the bar at Cipriani Yas Island, called the Bellini lounge, is the place to see and be seen at in the capital. Sip on one of the delicious cocktails on the menu or try the signature Bellini, which is a perfect combination of fresh white peach puree and bubbles.
Offering much more than just Italian fine dining, Cipriani Yas Island feeds the demand for a high-class culinary experience in Abu Dhabi. The team are all from Italy and are committed to attention to detail, giving guests a personalised service, preserving Cipriani’s style and elegance and suiting the most sophisticated diner.
Designed by Florentine architect Michele Bonan, Cipriani Yas Island opened in 2010 and boasts a stunning terrace overlooking some of Yas Island’s iconic landmarks, including the marina and the Yas Marina Circuit.
In November 2012, the restaurant underwent a renovation and re-opened its doors in October 2013. From its style and location, to the food, the 360 capacity restaurant fuses simple timeless luxury. The innovative design is accentuated with wood interiors, white leather seats and white linen tablecloths to make guests feel as though they’re passing through the canals of Venice in a Venetian boat.
Cipriani Yas Island has three private dining areas, perfect for parties and corporate events - The Harry Cipriani Room which has panoramic views of the marina and circuit, The Crown Prince Room, a personal favourite of one of the many royal dignitaries which visit Cipriani, and the Venetian Room which has private access to the terrace.
Your private dining experience for 10 people includes a signature Bellini and 3-hour drinks package and a 4-course set menu comprised of a selection of appetizers, a middle course of fresh burrata with mixed olives and tomatoes, a choice of chilean sea bass or pan roasted veal for main and a tantalising selection of Cipriani cakes, sorbets and ice cream for dessert.
To Serve is First to Love
HOW IT STARTED
It all started in 1931 when a long-sought dream became reality and Giuseppe Cipriani Sr. opened the doors of Harry’s Bar. In a discreet stone building perched along a canal just off Piazza San Marco in Venice, he created a timeless and impeccably appointed establishment. His concept was to serve others as you would want to be served yourself. His vision of simple luxury came to touch the souls of people all over the world. At Harry’s Bar in Venice, all clients are treated like royalty. Simple elements such as true service and devotion have elevated Harry’s to legendary status. Nonetheless, it became a popular destination for royalty, dignitaries and celebrities. It was featured in international media and very quickly word of its impeccable quality and service spread around the world.
Many years later, the son of Giuseppe Sr., Arrigo Cipriani, opened his first restaurant across the ocean, in New York. The location was perfect, with two big windows that opened towards Central Park, dividing Manhattan in two. According to Arrigo, he was excited to show people around the world who had copied the Cipriani name, that names are not what counts. What you have to copy is what is inside. And with the same spirit and passion of his father, in 1985 Arrigo opened Harry Cipriani on 5th Avenue and started the legacy of what has become one of the most recognizable hospitality groups in the world. The secret of Cipriani isn’t about what can be seen or touched, but what can be felt and sensed. It is intangible but palpable. It can’t be patented, but even after eighty-four years it hasn’t been duplicated by others.
Four generations of Cipriani have grown a single restaurant into a world renowned hospitality brand still recognized for its distinguished venues and service all over the world. The same quality and passion is embodied at Cipriani Yas Island. The concept of the food at Cipriani is easy. Simple Italian food done to perfection. Our chefs come from all over Italy and no matter where they are from, they all use a combination of local ingredients and products imported directly from Italy; everything is made fresh in the kitchen every day including our pastas and famous desserts. The restaurant menu consists of some of our traditional, signature dishes from Harry’s Bar in Venice, like the famous baked tagliolini, risotto Primavera, carpaccio alla Cipriani, invented by Giuseppe Cipriani Sr. in Venice in 1950, calves liver alla Veneziana, vanilla crème meringue and many others with an addition of items that change daily. For groups, special events, and parties, we have several set menus available to choose from. They range in price to suit the budget of the event and we also have a drink package including both alcoholic and nonalcoholic options.
